What is Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI)?
Occupational Accident Insurance, also called OAI, may provide benefits if you are injured while working a scheduled 1099 task through Hyer. There is no coverage if you work without officially being scheduled for a task.
OAI is for 1099 independent contractors. It is not workers’ compensation.
For W2 workers, see: Workers' Compensation Insurance for W2 Taskers | Injury While Working
OAI provides benefits for medical expenses, disability, loss of life, survivor payments, dismemberment, and paralysis for Covered Injuries directly caused by an occupational accident.
