Workers' Compensation is a type of insurance that provides benefits to employees who are injured or become ill due to their job. This benefit is provided only to W2 Taskers who worked a scheduled task.

What should I do if I get hurt while working?
Immediately report it to the person who is overseeing your task, and have them record a detailed report and email it to Hyer Support at support@gohyer.com.
- Be sure to call 911 or seek appropriate medical assistance if needed, and retain all paperwork related to the incident.

Reach out to Ascen immediately to report the injury.
- Email Ascen at support@ascen.com or call them at 1-(888) 485-2687. Ascen will provide you with an "Authorization for Treatment" to take to a clinic or a "Declination of Medical Treatment Form."
- The nurse triage toll-free number is 1-(888) 485-2687. It is a 24/7 care line that assesses whether you need treatment at a facility/clinic. If treatment at a facility/clinic is not required for the injury, they can suggest home remedies (i.e., icing the injured area). The nurse triage will send Ascen a report of the injury they received within 24 hours to create the claim. If you feel that you are not improving, call the nurse triage line again and describe your symptoms. The nurse triage line will provide you with the next steps to take.

What information should I have ready when speaking with Ascen?
- A detailed statement regarding how the incident happened and what, if any, medical attention was needed. (If you were taken to a hospital by emergency services, please keep all paperwork and contact Ascen as soon as possible)
- Date, time, and location of the incident.
- Any name of any witness to the incident.
- The name of the manager you reported the incident to.
- Any medical reports, if applicable.
