There may be times you need to contact the manager while working on a task. If there is a manager on-site who is overseeing your task, you can simply go find them or have them paged at the store (review task details on communication), or you can use the chat feature.
Reasons why you should contact the Customer using the in-app chat feature:
- If you are confused about instructions in the task details (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- I Can’t Make It To My Scheduled Task - Make sure you still cancel the task, but you can chat with the Customer to let them know why you cannot make it. This help maintains a healthy relationship with the Customer.
- You can't find the products you need to stock or have a question about the task (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- Any questions you have while working on a task (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- Can't find the manager/supervisor assigned to your task. If a supervised task, please review the task information to see if you should call a specific number, but you also may go up to a service desk and ask for that manager to be paged overhead.
- Any reason why you can't complete the task as the instructions dictate (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- If you have to leave a task early (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- If you leave a task unfinished (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- Location issues (product/aisle questions) (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- Issues signing in or out (if the manager is on-site, please reach out to them to ask for clarification, you should also reach out to Tasker Support.)
- The timesheet shows the wrong time (if the manager is on-site, please approach them to ask for clarification.)
- If you are running late.
- If local weather is preventing you from going to your task.
How do I contact the manager/supervisor in charge of my task?
Step 1: In the app, select the Tasks icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: Select the scheduled task that you working on or is in question.
Step 3: Click on the 'Contact Customer' chat icon 💬in the upper right-hand corner of the task.
Step 4: Write a brief note with your question and click Send.
📌 Things to Note:
- Remember some tasks will note that they are unsupervised in the task detailed instructions; no manager will be on site for these tasks. Please refer to your task instructions
- If you still cannot get ahold of the manager after submitting an in-app chat, go to the Customer service desk and ask them to page the person you are looking for over the speakers.
