What Is a Private Offer?
A Private Offer is a Task opportunity that a Customer can send to either a specific Tasker or a large group of Taskers in the area.
You may receive a Private Offer even if you did not apply for the Task. When you receive a Private Offer:
- The Task will appear under Your Tasks in the Hyer app.
- The Task Status will show as Preferred.
- You will have the option to Accept or Decline the offer.
📌 "Preferred" does NOT mean you are already Scheduled for the Task. You must accept the Private Offer to become Scheduled.
What Happens If I Accept a Private Offer?
Accepting a Private Offer means you are Scheduled to work the Task.
This is different from applying for a regular Task:
- Regular Task: You apply and wait for the Customer to schedule you.
- Private Offer/Preferred: The Customer has offered the Task directly to you. If you accept it, you are Scheduled to work it on the specified date and start time.
Before accepting, always review the entire Task posting, including:
- Task location
- Date and start time
- Expected Task length
- Pay
- Dress code
- Task instructions and requirements
Only accept a Private Offer if you are available and prepared to work the Task.
Once you accept the task, you are expected to show up and complete the Task as scheduled. If you do not show up, you will receive a No-Show Breach on your account.
What If I Don't Want the Private Offer?
You are not required to accept a Private Offer. If you aren't interested or aren't available, simply Decline the offer.
Declining a Private Offer does not mean you are canceling a Task because you were never Scheduled to work it. Declining a Private Offer has no negative effect on your account or standing with the Customer.
Why Did a Private Offer Disappear?
Private Offers may be sent to multiple Taskers, and the first Tasker to accept the offer will be Scheduled.
You may see a Private Offer notification on your phone's lock screen, but find that the offer is no longer available when you open the Hyer app. This can happen if another Tasker accepted the offer between the time the notification was sent and the time you opened the app.
If another Tasker accepts the offer, the Task will move to the Archived tab in your Hyer app.
Private Offers are time-sensitive. Receiving a notification does not reserve or hold the Task for you.
