❌ NO!
Even if you've applied for a task, you must wait to be selected and marked as "Scheduled" before ever arriving at the site or beginning work.
To show up and work, the task status shows as "Scheduled". You should also only ever show up to work on the scheduled date and at the scheduled start time.
🚨 IMPORTANT: Even if a manager or Customer tells you that you can work, do not begin working until you are officially scheduled for the task in the Hyer app.
A lead, supervisor, manager, or other person at the location telling you to work does not mean you are Scheduled through Hyer. The person who manages the Hyer task must officially accept your application or assign you to the task in Hyer. If they cannot find you in the system, accept your application, or create a task for you to be assigned to, you cannot work the task. The Customer will need to contact Hyer at support@gohyer.com for assistance.
Why this Matters
- Customer Visibility: Only Scheduled Taskers are visible to the Customer and expected on-site.
- Unscheduled work is not authorized: Working a task when you are not Scheduled is considered working outside of the Hyer platform. You cannot receive payment through Hyer for work performed if you were not officially Scheduled for the task.
- No Insurance Coverage: Only 'Scheduled' taskers have coverage through Hyer’s Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI) if you are not scheduled through the app.
- Risk to your account: Showing up or attempting to work a task you are not Scheduled for may result in account restrictions.
- W2: If you are not fully onboarded or officially Scheduled for a W-2 task, a timesheet will not be created, and you cannot receive payment for the task. You are also not covered by workers' compensation if you are not Scheduled.
What Should I Do If I'm Not Scheduled Yet?
Only go to a task if your status shows “Scheduled.”
If you’re not picked, keep applying to other available tasks.
Never assume you’ve been selected unless the task clearly shows “Scheduled” in your app.
