The Dispute feature is available to Customers to use when a Tasker has requested payment but did not work the task, and it will show when you edit a payment to reflect zero.
Likewise, a Tasker can dispute a task's payment if they feel they were paid the incorrect amount.
What if a Tasker requested more than what they worked for?
If you need to just edit or lower the payment to less than what the Tasker requested, but they are still owed funds, see this article: How to Review, Edit, and Confirm a Tasker’s Payment
How can I see if a Tasker disputes a task?
Disputed tasks will appear in the Active Folder in the Task tab. You will see a notification in the Alerts tab and receive an email with the task details and the statement from the Tasker on why they are disputing the task.
How do I resolve a dispute?
It is important to resolve a payment dispute quickly.
If you created the dispute, Hyer will review and either resolve it or reach out with any questions.
If the Tasker created the dispute, please email Hyer Support with the details on why the payment was confirmed for that amount, or let us know if there was a mistake and the payment needs to be changed to a higher amount. Once we have this information, we will either close the dispute or update the payment for you, and then resolve the dispute.
How do I dispute a task when the Tasker doesn't work?
- Access the task by going through the Alert tab or finding it by going to the Tasks tab (Under the 'Active' header)
- Tap the purple bubble that says 'Review & verify Payment'
- Edit the 'Actual (Editable)' field to zero
- Enter an explanation of why you are lowering it to zero (must be at least 25 characters)
- Tap 'Confirm Payment'
- Select the reason why (this will issue a breach to the Taskers account, so please select the correct reason) and then explain what happened.
- Mark if the task/work was completed another way or not completed. Then submit the dispute.
What happens after I dispute a task?
After you dispute a task, the Tasker assigned will get a notification as well as Hyer Support. The Tasker is able to reach out to Hyer Support if they feel it is necessary. Hyer Support will review all available information and resolve the dispute.
If you had a poor experience with the Tasker, you might also want to fill out the Internal Profile Notes so others within your organization, know if they want to select that Tasker moving forward. See this article for more information: How to Note the Tasker's Profile - Internal Notes
