If a Tasker doesn't arrive for their scheduled task, there are several steps you can take to contact them, report the no-show, and determine whether they can still complete the task.
1. Try Contacting the Tasker
If a Tasker hasn't arrived at the scheduled start time, you can:
- Send a Message: Use Hyer Chat to ask whether they're still planning to arrive.
If the Tasker responds and indicates they'll be late, you can decide whether to allow them to complete the task or if you want to mark them as a no-show. If you decide to still let them work, you can still issue a breach through Hyer Assist for arriving late.
2. Report the No-Show Through Hyer Assist
If the Tasker doesn't arrive and you determine they should be marked as a no-show, use Hyer Assist to issue a breach.
You can also add an internal note to the Tasker's profile. These notes are visible to other managers within your company and can help inform future scheduling decisions.
3. What if the Tasker Arrives After Being Marked as a No-Show?
If you've already marked a Tasker as a no-show and they arrive afterward, you must create a new task before allowing them to work.
Once a Tasker has been marked as a no-show:
- Their original task can no longer be used to complete the required steps in the app to request payment, so a new task must be created.
- Their account may have been restricted due to the no-show, so if you cannot find their name when trying to send a Private Tasker, you should turn the tasker away and not allow them to work, as there is no way to get them assigned to a task to receive payment.
📌 If you decide to allow the Tasker to work, create a new task and ensure they're successfully scheduled before they begin.
Important: Taskers must never perform work unless they're actively scheduled or assigned to a task in Hyer. Allowing an unscheduled Tasker to work may create liability concerns for both the Tasker and your business.
If the Tasker's account has been restricted, contact Hyer Support (support@gohyer.com) for assistance before proceeding.
What if I Accidentally Marked a Tasker as a No-Show?
If you mistakenly report a Tasker as a no-show, contact Hyer Support for assistance with reviewing and correcting the breach.
What Happens to a Tasker's Account After a No-Show?
A no-show can increase a Tasker's deactivation risk and may result in account restrictions or permanent removal from the platform.
