What should you do when a Customer asks you to work on a task you aren't "Scheduled" for?
There may be times when a Customer loves your work and asks you to come in the next day to work on another task! 🙌 It is very important that you ask the Customer to go into the app and schedule you for that task. If you arrive the next day and work a non-scheduled task, you run the risk of not being paid for the work you provided, or your payment may be delayed. You also risk not getting paid if you attempt to work on a task that you are not scheduled for or attempt to work with another Customer at that same location. You should never work on a task that you are not assigned to, as the Customer will have no way to pay you.
We want to make sure you get paid for the work you do, so it is vital to only work on scheduled tasks.
Please see this Help Center article for more information: Can I work on a task that I'm NOT scheduled for (I'm not assigned to)? I applied but didn't get scheduled.
What should you do if a Customer asks you to come in earlier than noted for a non-flexible start time?
If this happens, it is good to try and communicate this via the in-app chat feature so there is a record of it in case another manager goes in to confirm payment and isn't aware that someone else asked you to come in earlier.
The best practice for any supervised task is to always check in and out with the store lead or manager/supervisor on duty to reduce confusion on work completed and hours worked. Take note that some tasks are unsupervised, and you are to follow the task's detailed instructions while on site. Attempting to work on an unsupervised task when you are not scheduled for it may result in you not receiving payment.
