“In Transit” means Stripe has already started processing your payout.
"In Transit" = Funds transfer in progress
The funds are being transferred to the payout method on file with Stripe. This may be a bank account or an eligible debit card. This can happen with either an Instant Payout or the Weekly Payout.
You do not need to request the payment again.
Can I request an Instant Payout if my payment is In Transit?
No. Once a payment shows In Transit, Stripe has already begun processing the transfer. Those funds are no longer available for an Instant Payout and cannot be stopped
What if my bank account or debit card is wrong?
Once a payout is In Transit, it is too late to change the payout method for that transfer.
Keep your Stripe payout information up to date before a payout begins processing.

When will an In Transit payout arrive?
The arrival date depends on the payout type (Instant Payout or Weekly Payout) and your bank's processing time.
If the payment is part of your Weekly Payout, funds typically reach your bank by Wednesday or Thursday. Check your Stripe account for the status and expected payout information.
What if the funds are being sent to an inactive or closed account?
If the payout is being sent to a closed or inactive account, the financial institution should eventually reject the transfer and return the funds to your Stripe balance.
The timing of the return is determined by the financial institution. Hyer cannot see or control how long this process takes.
While waiting for the funds to be returned, update your payout method in Stripe so future payouts are sent to the correct account.
