When you finish a task, always close out the task and request payment while you are still on-site.
Do not leave the location until you have completed the required prompts in the Hyer app. These steps help document your task completion and ensure you request payment for the correct amount of work.
How to Finish Your Task and Request Payment
When your work is complete:
- Tap I'm Done while you are still on-site.
- Complete all remaining prompts in the Hyer app.
- Complete the task survey, if one is required.
- Answer all required questions.
- Upload any required photos.
- Choose your payout setting (by selecting Weekly, Manual, or Automatic)
- Before requesting ‘Automatic’, be sure your payout method in Stripe is up to date.
- Review the payment amount carefully and tap Send Payment Request.
📌 Remember: Always complete these steps before leaving the task location.
What If I Worked More or Less Than the Posted Amount?
Your payment request must accurately reflect the work you actually completed.
If you completed more or less than the quantity or amount originally posted, edit the ‘Actual Hours/Activities’ section before requesting payment.
- For example, A task is posted for 1 activity, but you complete 2 activities, change the Actual amount to “2”.
- Now you must use at least 30 characters to explain why you are requesting over the posted amount, and then enter the name of the manager who approved the additional work.
When you request more than the task's originally posted amount, the Customer will automatically have up to 72 hours to review and confirm the payment request.
Do not select No Changes to Task if you did not complete the task exactly as posted.
⚠️ Important: You may only request payment for work you actually completed. Intentionally requesting payment for more work than you completed is not allowed and may result in a review of your Hyer account.
Remember
- If you need to submit a survey for your task, ensure you complete all the survey fields and upload any required pictures. The app will guide you through the prompts.
- Before leaving the Customer's location: I'm Done → Complete Prompts/Survey → Request Payment → Confirm the Correct Amount
- After you request payment, the Customer generally has up to 24 hours to confirm it. If you request more than the task was posted for, or there are geo-tagging issues with required photos, the Customer may have up to 72 hours to review the payment request.
