What is a 'Home Job' skill?
- A ‘Home Job’ skill is a worker’s primary skill — the one they have the most experience in or were originally hired for. While workers can be trained in multiple areas/skills, their main/primary or core skill is labeled as their Home Job.
Example: A worker hired as a Cashier but who also occasionally works as a Bagger or Meat Cutter would have Cashier as their 'Home Job.'
Why was the ‘Home Job’ skill feature added?
- This feature helps stores and supervisors quickly identify workers who are the most experienced in a specific role. When assigning shifts, it ensures that applicants with the most relevant background are easily visible.
How can I tell if a worker has a ‘Home Job’ skill?
- When viewing matches for a private task, workers who have the required skill as their Home Job will have a label showing 'Home Job'.
- On a worker’s profile, both supervisors and team members will see a star icon next to the skill listed as their Home Job.
