There are two types of Tasks on Hyer: Hourly and Flat Fee. The best practice before leaving a task is to check out with management (for supervised tasks) to reduce any confusion on what your payout will be.
Flat/Fixed Fee: Flat Fee Tasks and Fixed Fee Tasks are the same things. They have a fixed price and a rough estimated completion time. This estimation is based on whether a Tasker is experienced or not. Experienced Taskers will take less time to complete Tasks than inexperienced Taskers. You are being paid for a specific number of deliveries, activities, carts, or cases, not for the time spent accomplishing them. These tasks are not subject to any increase in pay if they go on longer than the estimated time listed.
Hourly: If the task says Hourly, then you will get paid the rate specified for however many hours the Customer determines listed in the task details.
I worked three hours but only finished one out of three activities. How much will I get paid?
For a Flat/Fixed Fee Task, in this scenario, you would be paid for one out of three activities listed in the Task. Remember, the reverse is also true, so if you complete three activities in one hour, you will be for three activities.
Example: A Task for three activities is posted with a total payment of $49.62.
Scenario A: A Tasker who completes one activity but works for three hours will be paid $16.52 (One-third of the Task). | Scenario B: A Tasker who completes three activities and works for two hours will be paid $49.62 (Completed Task). |
Taskers will only be paid for the number of activities completed, regardless of how long they work.
Why doesn't the app show me how long it will take to complete a Task? The Estimated duration for such Tasks is based on experience (seasoned and beginner Taskers).
The estimated times listed on the Task are rough. Every Tasker will complete any given Task in a different amount of time. That said, beginner Taskers are estimated to take one and a half times as long to twice as long as seasoned Taskers.
