Flexible Start Tasks give you more control over scheduling by allowing Taskers to choose a start time within a specified range, rather than requiring a single exact start time.
What Is the Difference Between Fixed and Flexible Start Times?
When creating a task, you can choose between two scheduling options:
- Fixed Start Time: The task has one specific start date and time. This is the default scheduling option.
- Flexible Start Time: You set the earliest and latest acceptable start dates and times, giving Taskers the flexibility to choose when to begin within that range.
How Do I Create a Flexible Start Task?
- Begin creating a new task in Hyer.
- Locate the Start Time scheduling options.
- Select Flexible Start Time.
- Enter the Earliest Start Time and Latest Start Time you are willing to accept.
- Complete the remaining task details and post your task.
How Does a Tasker Select Their Start Time?
When a Tasker selects an expected start date and time for a Flexible Start Task, their selection must fall within the scheduling range you provided.
Important: Once a Tasker selects their expected start date and time, they cannot change their selection.
When Should I Use a Flexible Start Task?
Flexible Start Tasks are ideal when you need work completed but have some flexibility regarding when it begins.
For example, if a task can begin anytime between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, you can set that range instead of requiring every Tasker to arrive at one specific time.
If your task requires someone to arrive at an exact time, select Fixed Start Time instead.
