Hyer was built with three core principles in mind: to empower people, provide opportunities, and support the communities we serve. We understand that our user base includes people from all backgrounds and abilities, and our goal is to provide a platform where Taskers and Customers can work together to accomplish their goals.
Frictionless does not perform tasks and does not employ individuals to perform tasks. Frictionless does not supervise, direct, control or monitor a tasker’s work and expressly disclaims any responsibility and liability for the work performed and the tasks in any manner. A Business shall respond to any request in the same manner as any vendor, customer, or 1099 contractor coming into their place of business. We ask that any business make any decision for reasonable accommodations in accordance with all rules and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
All tasks that are posted on the Hyer platform should state in the task’s description under either the ‘Essential Functions/Responsibilities’ or ‘Skills and Physical Requirement.’ what is needed to complete that specific task (bending, stooping, lifting X amount of weight overhead, etc.)
If a Tasker does require reasonable accommodations, they should be reaching out to notify you of this as soon as they are selected for that task (they should not show up at the start of the task.) If you are not able to accommodate the request, please cancel the Tasker without a breach so they can apply to other tasks. You also may want to create a profile note on this Tasker so others within your organization will know if they should select them for future tasks.
We recommend that you contact your regional ADA center, HR team, and legal team for any questions pertaining to approving a request or if it should be denied.
