There may be times when you have to message the worker before, during, or after the task. When you chat with a worker, the notifications will send an in-app message to the recipient. If the recipient has Notifications 🔔️ turned on, they will also receive a push notification.
When to Use Chat 💬️
- When the worker messages you through the app
-
If you are trying to locate the worker while they are on-site and can’t find them
- Confirming with the worker what they are working on or further task instructions
- Answering the worker's questions or arrival times
- If you want a standard message to be sent out for certain task types, we can create automated chats that are sent out, so you don’t have to do it each time. Talk to your field operations liaison to get this set up.
How to see if you have a message from a worker
You will see an alert in the bottom toolbar.
How do I message the worker?
Click on the chat bubble đź’¬ in the upper right-hand corner of the task.
Can’t I just text the worker? 📱️
If the worker releases their phone number, then they are giving you permission to text or call them. The best practice is to use the chat feature first before texting or calling a worker.
Are chats monitored by Hyer?
All chats within the app are attached to the task and archived. Certain chats may be flagged if certain words are used to have a Hyer employee investigate.
