A breach occurs when a Tasker violates Hyer's policies or standards. Breaches are recorded and tracked on your account and can affect your ability to continue using the Hyer platform.
What Can Cause a Breach?
There are several reasons a breach may be issued. The examples below are not a complete list, but to give you an idea.
Attendance Issues
- Arriving late to a scheduled task
- Canceling within 6 hours of the task's scheduled start time (Late Cancellation)
- Not showing up for a scheduled task (No-Show)
Appearance and Conduct Issues
- Unprofessional behavior
- Abandoning a task (leaving without completing the task)
- Disappearing or leaving while working without communicating with the Customer
- Dress code violations
- Arriving under the influence or appearing to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Performance Issues
- Not completing the task as directed
- Failing to follow the Customer's or posted task instructions
- Leaving the work area messy or failing to clean up
How Can a Breach Affect My Account?
Breaches can negatively affect your account and your reputation with Customers.
Receiving breaches may result in:
- Customers choosing not to select you for future tasks
- Changes to your account standing
- Restricting your ability to use the Hyer platform permanently or for a specified period of time.
- Your account could be permanently disabled from the Hyer platform if you receive too many breaches
How Do No-Shows and Late Cancellations Affect My Rating?
A No-Show or Late Cancellation automatically results in a zero-star rating for that task.
A Late Cancellation occurs when you cancel within 6 hours of the task's scheduled start time.
Because these ratings are included in your Tasker rating, No-Shows and Late Cancellations can negatively affect your overall rating and your reputation with Customers.
📌 Remember
When you commit to a scheduled task, the Customer is counting on you to arrive on time and complete the work as agreed. If you cannot make it to a scheduled task, cancel as soon as possible through the Hyer app.
Customers cannot see how many breaches your account has received or what types of breaches they are. However, a Customer may remember if you were previously marked late or as a No-Show, or if you canceled a task with them at the last minute. Customers may also be less likely to select Taskers with whom they have had performance or conduct concerns in the past. All of this can affect whether a Customer chooses to select you for future tasks.
Hyer reserves the right, per the Tasker Terms of Use, to terminate or suspend access to all or part of the Hyer platform.
