W2 overtime begins at 40 hours (or more than 8 hours in a single day) or more within the same business week (Sunday through Saturday). These hours are calculated across all W2 businesses combined, not per individual customer or location.
W2 Taskers are not permitted to go into overtime. The system will automatically prevent a Tasker from being sent to or from applying to a task if completing that task would place them in overtime.
Important Notes:
- Tasker Management - It is important to actively manage your Tasker on-site to ensure they work only the hours posted. The system cannot detect if a Tasker is allowed to work beyond the originally scheduled/posted time/amount. Always notify Hyer Support (support@gohyer.com) if, as a Tasker, you worked unauthorized hours.
- Breaks - It is essential to communicate breaks clearly and whether they are paid or unpaid, to your Tasker upon their arrival. If there are unpaid breaks and the Tasker works through them, they are owed those hours, or you should send them home early to account for the time.
- Communication - Always notify Hyer Support (support@gohyer.com) if a Tasker worked unauthorized hours.
- Payment - When confirming payment, if the amount entered would place the Tasker in overtime, the system will clearly notify you during the payment confirmation process that you are approving overtime pay.
