Workers are prompted to enter and verify their phone number the first time they log into the Hyer app and when applying to or accepting a task. Hyer requests your phone number to allow us to communicate with you via SMS (text messages). Another reason to verify your phone number is to allow you to request a password reset link via SMS (text message).
How do I verify my phone number?
1. Tap 'Yes' on the Phone Verification window
2. Enter your phone number and tap the 'Let's Go' button
3. Retrieve the 6-digit code sent to the phone number you entered
4. Enter the code and click the 'Let's Go' button
5. That's it! Your phone number is now verified.
Do I have to provide a phone number?
No, this is optional, and Workers are not required to enter a phone number. Workers will be prompted every time they apply to or accept a task, but can tap 'No' on the prompt to continue without providing a phone number.
What if I change my mind and want to provide my phone number?
Workers can provide their phone number in various places in the Hyer app:
1. Go to the Home tab / tap the 'Phone Verification Not Completed' banner at the top of the screen
2. Go to Settings (3 line icon in upper left) / Account Information and tap the pencil icon next to the Phone field
3. Click Apply or Accept on any open task
