When posting a task, the supervisor will have the option of posting it as either a Public task or a Private task.
Public Task
Public tasks are able to be viewed by any worker who is assigned to the business. The supervisor can then select the worker that they want to schedule from the list of applicants.
Private Tasks
Private shifts are able to be sent to specific workers or to a group of preferred workers. Once the supervisor sends the shift out, the first worker to apply will be automatically scheduled. If the worker declines the offer, the supervisor will receive a notification, and they can choose a different worker.
How do the supervisors choose workers?
Making a task private is done at the last step of the shift creation. When the supervisor gets to the "Post This Shift" page, they select "Choose Workers." This will allow the supervisor to choose from a list of suitable workers assigned to the business. They can sort the candidates as they see fit and even mark candidates as "Preferred Workers."
